How to Make 1,200 mg CBD Oil from CBD RSO Syringes (30 mL)

Make your own CBD oil (tincture) at home in about 15 minutes. This simple DIY recipe mixes 2 syringes (2 mL) of CBD RSO syringe into MCT oil to make a 30 mL bottle with about 1,200 mg of CBD — roughly 40 mg per mL.

What you need

• 2 syringes (2 mL) of CBD RSO syringe (about 1,200 mg CBD)
• About 30 mL of carrier oil — MCT oil is best (thin, flavourless, absorbs well and keeps for about a year). Any edible oil works: olive, hemp seed, avocado or sunflower.
• A 30 mL amber glass dropper bottle and a small funnel
• A bowl of hot tap water (about 50–60 °C / 120–140 °F)

Steps: making a 30 mL CBD oil

1. Warm the syringes in a sealed zip-top bag in the bowl of hot tap water for 5–10 minutes, until the CBD RSO syringe is soft and flows.
2. Push the contents of 2 syringes (2 mL) into the empty bottle.
3. Top up with MCT oil to the 30 mL mark, leaving a little room at the neck.
4. Cap tightly and warm the bottle in the hot water for another 5 minutes — never microwave, boil or use direct heat.
5. Shake well for 1–2 minutes until the oil is an even colour with no streaks or blobs at the bottom.
6. Let it cool, then label the bottle with the strength (1,200 mg · 40 mg/mL) and today's date.

How to dose your 1,200 mg CBD oil

Start low and go slow: begin with ¼ dropper (about 10 mg) once or twice a day. Hold the oil under your tongue for 30–60 seconds, then swallow.
